Valencia Healthcare Workforce Mobility Network was established in 2026 to build upon experience gained through an earlier healthcare workforce mobility pilot developed and operated by Valencia Transportation Services. 2019 WORKFORCE MOBILITY PILOT In 2019, Valencia Transportation Services operated a workforce mobility pilot in the Buffalo/Erie County area supporting healthcare personnel traveling to hospitals, healthcare facilities, and client residences. The pilot provided practical experience coordinating high-volume workforce mobility, managing shift-based demand, and supporting reliable access to work. 16,700+Workforce Trips 9.6 Weeks Pilot Duration 20 Vehicles In Operation 1,740 Weekly Transports EXPERIENCE THAT INFORMED VHWMN The 2019 pilot generated practical insights into workforce scheduling, routing, demand patterns, transportation coordination, and the mobility barriers affecting healthcare employees. Those lessons helped inform the development of VHWMN as an independent nonprofit focused on healthcare workforce mobility and long-term workforce stability.
