About us
Valencia Healthcare Workforce Mobility Network is a nonprofit healthcare workforce support organization dedicated to strengthening healthcare workforce stability throughout the Buffalo–Niagara Healthcare Corridor.
Our mission is to reduce transportation-related workforce barriers that contribute to employee absenteeism, staffing shortages, excessive overtime, workforce turnover, and operational budget overruns within healthcare organizations.
Healthcare facilities across Western New York face increasing challenges in maintaining reliable staffing levels due to workforce mobility barriers, transportation limitations, weather-related disruptions, and access challenges. These issues can impact workforce attendance, employee retention, scheduling efficiency, and the overall ability of healthcare providers to deliver consistent care to the communities they serve.
Valencia Healthcare Workforce Mobility Network works to address these challenges through workforce mobility programs, transportation coordination, logistics infrastructure, strategic partnerships, technology-enabled solutions, and community-based support initiatives designed specifically for healthcare workers and healthcare institutions.
We collaborate with hospitals, healthcare systems, nursing facilities, home healthcare agencies, workforce development organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, senior service organizations, and community partners to develop innovative solutions that improve workforce accessibility and operational efficiency.
Since completing a pilot program where we completed over 16,700 workforce trips in under 10 weeks, we are building a scalable operational infrastructure necessary to support hospital partnerships, workforce mobility systems, fleet expansion, and institutional growth.
Through corporate and community partnerships, donations, grants, and sponsorships, Valencia seeks to expand workforce mobility programs, enhance transportation access, support workforce retention efforts, strengthen healthcare staffing reliability, and improve access to healthcare services throughout the region.
Our long-term vision is to create a sustainable healthcare workforce mobility infrastructure that helps healthcare organizations reduce absenteeism, control labor costs, improve staffing stability, support workforce participation, and strengthen the overall healthcare ecosystem across Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Erie County, Niagara County, and the surrounding communities.
By investing in workforce mobility, we help strengthen healthcare delivery, support healthcare professionals, and improve community health outcomes throughout the Buffalo–Niagara Healthcare Corridor.
Together, we are building the workforce mobility infrastructure that helps healthcare workers get where they are needed most and helps healthcare organizations provide reliable, uninterrupted care to the communities they serve.
